This project was conducted as part of a grade 5 initiative at St. Thomas Aquinas. The whole class was involved in picking topics related to the Health or Religion Curriculum. The students choose their own topics and collected their own information and were also responsible for creating and designing their own web pages. The students did receive guidance and support from the school IT teacher, the Itinerant IT teacher from the board and their classroom teacher. The students also had their peers and schoolmates from another class peer edit their work and help on the design of the sites.
This site in particular deals with specific information related to drug awareness. The health text provides information to students on the dangers of nonprescription drugs. This site is designed by students for students. It is relevant information that will help students make responsible decisions.
